China CNPC is aiming to double Gas Output by 2015
State-owned CNPC, China’s leading oil and gas company, aims to double its natural gas output in seven years. CNPC, the parent of PetroChina, declared that it has planned to produce 120 billion cubic metres of natural gas by 2015 and 150 billion cubic metres by 2020, which would enable the oil heavyweight to take half of the country’s gas market.
