GAIL will supply natural gas to state from Dabhol
Power-starved Karnataka may have better times ahead, about two-and-a-half years from now, when the 800-km gas pipeline from Dabhol, in Maharashtra, to Bangalore becomes operational.
GAIL Chairman and Managing Director U.D. Choubey, stated:
After the Dabhol power plant begins functioning, there will be almost 2.9 million tonnes of gas a year surplus.
