Eni Spa declared that it will appeal a decision by Spain’s antitrust authority that allows Gas Natural to keep Union Fenosa assets including a stake in a joint venture with the Italian energy group.

Eni Chief Executive Paolo Scaroni stated:

We will appeal the Spanish antitrust’s decision.
